Entry Fee & Deadline
The total entry fee is $95.
Contestants may register and pay online at http://www.floridapageants.net/mifrpa.html until August 27th, 2010; or contestants may email nationals@gocoed.com to request a printable application form to send in with check in time to reach American Coed Pageants by August 13th , 2010; or contestants may register and pay at the door by cash or money order September 5th, 2010. Checks and credit cards will not be accepted on September 5th.
Registration begins at 12:00 PM on Sunday, September 5th, 2010.
Competition Information
Contestants will be scored in the categories listed below. The contestant with the highest score in each age division will be crowned Miss Freedom for 2010 for American Coed Pageants!
• Patriotic Outfit Modeling – casual red, white and blue outfit of contestant’s choice
• On Stage Personal Introduction – time limit of 20 seconds
• Eveningwear – dressy party wear or formal evening gown
Age Divisions and other requirements – Age Divisions are determined by the contestant’s age on January 1st, 2010. All clothing should be age appropriate. Contestants in the Princess, Sweetheart and Preteen divisions may not wear make-up. Each contestant will be checked for make-up before she goes on stage. The judges will deduct points from a contestants score if she is found to be wearing make-up. American Coed State Queens crowned in 2010 are not eligible to compete.
Miss Coed Freedom: 19 – 22
Miss Teen Freedom: 16 – 18
Miss Jr. Teen Freedom: 13 – 15
Miss Preteen Freedom: 10 – 12
Miss Sweetheart Freedom: 7 – 9
Miss Princess Freedom: 3 – 6
Contestants must live or attend school in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia or Wyoming. If you live in a different state and would like permission to compete, please email nationals@gocoed.com.
Prizes
The overall winner in each age division will receive a 3″ crown, beautiful satin banner, trophy and flowers. In addition, the overall winner in each age division may select either a cash award of $250 or a $500 pageant credit. This credit may be used at the 2011 Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or West Virginia American Coed State Pageant or at the 2010 National Miss American Coed Pageant.
Four runners-up in each division will receive a trophy. All girls who place in the top five in any age division will qualify to compete in the queens’ competition at the 2010 American Coed National Pageant which is held the week of Thanksgiving in Orlando.
Admission tickets will be available at the door.
Adults: $5
Children 3 -12: $3
Children ages 2 & younger: free admission
10:00 AM – Noon
Rehearsal – Participants will have the opportunity to practice modeling, personal introductions and party wear/eveningwear with a pageant staff member. Everyone is welcome. The attire is casual.
Noon – 3:00 PM
Pageant Check-In – Pay any fees due, pick up an emcee card and your contestant number.
4:00 – 8:00 PM
Miss Coed Freedom Pageant! Wear your casual patriotic outfit to start the show and bring your party wear/eveningwear to the dressing room, which will be the center section of the International Ballroom. Contestants will have approximately 30 second to model their casual patriotic outfit. When they are done modeling they will perform their 20 second personal introduction for the audience and judges. Then, contestants will go to the dressing room to change into their party wear or eveningwear and return to the stage to model it. When the judges’ scores are tabulated we will announce the Freedom Winners and Runners-up!
Casual Patriotic Outfit – Your outfit should be casual and red, white and blue. For example, it should be an outfit you could wear to a Fourth of July Party. Blue jeans, shorts, skirts, pants, dresses and capri’s are all acceptable!
Mini-Optional Contests – We have added the mini-optional contests listed below.
The costs are $10 each or all six for $50.
